IIt was a magical morning on Philip Island. Mashal and Amna were staying in their holiday home just near a lake. They saw a little Kangaroo, who was fast as a marathon runner! “Let’s follow that Kangaroo”, Mashal exclaimed! But what they didn’t realise was that they were lost!
In a foggy, dark forest. Mashal started crying. Amna was also scared, but she knew that one of them had to be brave. She told Mashal that there was no time for crying or sobbing. They both stood up and started thinking of where they had started running from. Let’s think of our surroundings; what did we see whilst chasing that Kangaroo; “Didn’t we see small boats and some cabins?” questioned Amna.
“Yes, we did!” exclaimed Mashal.“So let’s look for those sort of things,” suggested Amna.“ Great idea,” exclaimed Mashal. But it was so dark that they couldn’t even see a thing. Amna had a lightbulb idea, once her mother said whenever in crisis, remember three golden rules: stay calm, stay focused and pray.
In her heart, Amna said, “ Oh God, please help us find our way back home.
With that being said, Mashal suddenly remembered. “ Why don’t we go backwards? I mean, go the opposite way of walking north. So like south?” questioned Amna;
“ Exactly!” Replied Mashal. So without hesitation, they both saw the light and their hearts filled with glee; Alas, they saw their mothers standing talking to the neighbours, and all the other people joined and questioned all the commotion and probably questioning where in the world Mashal and Amna were. They ran exactly like that marathon Kangaroo. “Mum!!” they both squealed. “Oh, my darlings”, both their mothers exclaimed, “Where on earth have you been?”
“We have been in the creepy forest, we accidentally lost track of where we were whilst chasing this amazingly fast kangaroo, and we promise we will never go back there again,” they both agreed. “How did you find your way back?” Amna mother questioned, “We then remembered your three golden rules,” replied Amna
