A Moment Of Happiness

I cried myself to sleep,
And wished my days away,
For my smile’s so cheap,
And my skin is nothing but grey.
The colour drained from my face,
As life picked up its pace,
And people always competing,
As if life were a sorrow race...
But in the glimpse of an eye,
Something caught my sight,
So I held my breath,
And gripped my fist tight.
A splash of colour,
In this cruel world,
A moment of joy,
Some happiness swirled.
