The Waterfall

Crunch! Leaves rustled underfoot
The loud gushing of water seemed to go on forever
I stood, gazing up at the sky
My legs are killing me
I sat down on a smooth, slippery rock nearby
I am at peace with myself
Tranquillity and relaxation is the key
Sustaining life for others
Maybe even for me
It’s like a sheer curtain waving goodbye
Like a door to a new world it may seem.
