Millions of memories gliding through my head
Thousands that are fading or are already dead
And happy, tender moments that seem so long ago
Disappearing in a fire that is powerfully aglow
And I wish I never waited
But I made a choice that I hated
And all the memories I made with you over the years
When I think of them my eyes flood with tears
I remember you as life goes by
On the land, the ocean, and the sky
And I write these words on these pages
So that they may last for never-ending ages
To show my faithful love
For you, my darling dove
