Walking with grandad

I'm walking here with Grandad, across the sandy beach.
I'm walking here with Grandad and none of us do speak.
Were thinking of the good times, trying not to think the bad.
We are remembering the good times we have had.
The spray of sea hits our face.
But we still do not fasten our pace.
Then Grandad turns and smiles his last smile,
And says" i will be seing you in a while."
I try not to cry but i can't hold it in.
Then everything around me begins to spin.
I felt Grandad give me his very last hug.
His big soft hands made me feel snug.
That was the last time i saw Grandad,
But they were the best times i ever had.
