The breeze flicks viridescent, bashful grass
Awakening them from the sugary but vivid dreams
The rock of Rainbow Valley towers in front of me
Rising into the clouds to maintain our peace
Your grandeur
Teaches me courage and kindness.
The gentle waterfalls from Alice Springs
Quietly gushing out of the mountain stream and irrigating our soul
A wedge-tailed eagle flies by
Landing like an Apache perched on top of the mountain
Oh, she’s my totem
Shedding lights more piercing than the sun
And reminding my duties as a successor.
We make a boiling, thirst-quenching pot of tea
So unadulterated it feels like we’re immersed
Like the tenacity of cedars who never wither
