I stare out to sea as I watch the place I chose to flee,
How incredible would it be for someone to be here with me,
I think about the treasure that once everyone used to desire,
I stole all the gems just before the fire.
The volcano erupted just before,
The fire ended with a roar,
The rubies and emeralds, diamonds and gold,
They all vanished from the world.
Which is why I am now standing all alone stranded at sea,
While the adults would be sipping their tea,
Everyone thinks pirates are greedy,
All I know is I want to live without having to be so needy.
Pirates are always blamed,
Only because most are shamed,
I want to have someone really kind,
Which I don’t know if I’ll ever find.
