Breathtaking
What promise is there of this day?
The sun rays like fingers of light brushing across the dusky moonless night.
Quiet, hushed and still
the animals still drowsy, loll and
stretch as they wake.
The rolling hills cloaked in mist
so enchanting
almost magical, changing shape in the light
As the day becomes more dazzling
SUN you are alluring and bewitching all at once
you illuminate a path through the trees
a day of endless possibilities
of hope, of dreams.
SUN, smile on my face today.
