Excellence Award in the 'National Treasures 2022' competition
The jewel, a 6 tonne mass of opal,
Its sides like mirrors that reflect light,
As hefty as an elephant,
Lined with numerous radiating gems,
Light dancing up and down on its surface,
Like a mini village dazzling under the noon sun on a hot summer day,
No stone or crown can rival it, not even close,
Guarded by hundreds of earnest, statue-like guards,
Fit for the emperor of the world,
This exquisite stone has thrived for long,
In our old, ancient family.
