Excellence Award in the 'National Treasures 2022' competition
The sun was sulking in the terrain,
The everlasting grim seemed to reign
But there was silver lining in times of misery,
The majestic, rugged road extended,
Over the monumental hills, I saw it ascended
It was serene, it led away from the sorrow,
I’d always hoped it would bring a happier tomorrow
The real world, filled with adventures was just before me,
Everyone too intimidated and cowardly,
But me, I knew, wanted to be free
I vowed at the beginning of time,
I would tread the path and lead a life, truly sublime
This road,
Would take me away from the despair,
I would live my dream,
No matter how hard it may seem
