Suffocating Fear

Strong soldiers falling like flies,
guns firing rapidly before your eyes.
Big bulky bombs screaming and guns firing,
planes soaring like bumblebees going flower to flower.
The graved gun powder filling the air
like gas filling a room.
With the screaming dead and injured soldiers
it was hell.
The crusty, broken-hearted ground
and with the tight trigger of the gun
I froze
in fear.
