Anew with light the skylark rollicks above
My gaze following its flight in longing.
Skyfall out of grasp, my wish to be thereof -
Hearts set for roads in search of belonging
If only to be free in the dawn -
If only to be as carefree as the lark.
Blushed rays shaded on clouds as if drawn -
The certainty of day banishing dark
Day’s break rises on horizons, till seen -
For gusts flicker light on shivering fields.
Leaves aloft, twisting on updrafts where once been -
The world gusty in crazed gales, smashing its shields.
For our souls align however high it flies -
The skylark awaits me in its dawn skies.
