Walking down towards the shore,
while watching sets of thrashing waves.
Resting well below the palms,
in the shade on scorching days.
“Look at all those shells,
that’s a big bunch.”
So many shells underfoot.
CRUNCH! CRUNCH! CRUNCH!
I bought an ice-cream,
at the beach side café.
The creamy texture was divine,
until the sun took it away.
Seagulls singing their morning song,
above the crystal waters stretching wide and long.
The tide comes in and touches my toes.
Lying in my hammock my eyes have closed.
