Red Alert

When given, they inspire love and desire.
In hope of a new beginning in romance,
the vermillion colour asking for a chance.
But don’t forget there will be smoke in the head when the heart is on fire.
Do not fall for their endless beauty.
They may seem delicate, but aren’t so rare.
Something so beautiful you can’t help but glare,
but don’t shy away from them as they’re only performing their duty.
Their body is green as hope before it grieves.
Dressed in a red velvet layers,
they could even melt the hearts of haters.
A thorny base which is hidden beneath disguise.
Remember it was because of a rose a princes turned into a beast of one of a kind.
