The Dog That Would Not Go Through His Doggy Door

The pitter and patter broke the dead night.
With wails and howl and strengths of might,
Through the pushing and trying just to get in,
He broke the promise and had to sin.
We made him jump in and out,
But all we could see was just the snout!
We attempted to get him through the door,
But sadly he hit straight onto the floor.
Once he got outside and went to the grass,
He came back and gave us an impasse!
He knows the mysteries lurking in the corners,
So when he finds out that it’s us, then we’re all goners!
I have to admit that that's ok,
But sometimes he’s late.
He’d do anything for tasty food,
Because he’s always in the mood.
That's why when he goes through the doggy door,
We always make sure that he doesn't hit straight onto the floor.
