There was a snake who lost its way
to fear that he had lost his prey.
His mother was so very cross
to see that he had gone into the moss.
Out again went the snake
who feared that it had gone into the lake.
The snake was tired, his back was numb
not to mention his hungry tum.
He spent hours looking for it, but it would be so,
he hadn't looked down below!
And below him was the mouse that the snake
was looking for, for goodness sake!
But...the snake had a sneaky plan
because he was heading to the melting sand.
But when he got to the melting sand,
the mouse was already onto land!
So the snake sank into the melting sand,
which was not part of his cunning plan.
So don't act with greed,
or you might miss out on your feed!
