Why?

The crystal-clear waters, where the ocean meets sand,
But why go out there when it’s safer on land?
The gushes of colour, the raindrops so pure,
But why take the risk when you can’t be so sure?
The everlasting mountains, where adventure awaits,
But why waste the time finding new dreams to chase?
The pockets of Earth, carefully hidden away,
But why travel out there, to wander astray?
The opportunities awaiting, the challenges to face,
But why focus on future with the present to embrace?
With each difficult question, we ask ourselves why,
Why chase our dreams, our future and the sky?
Why would we deny each glorious new thing?
When our life still has so many wonders to bring!
We must take a chance while we are still here,
Earth’s beauties are taken for granted, and must be held dear.
