Falling

Falling

I was running on a cliff and I didn’t want to fall
but I slipped on a peel and began to feel like I was falling, yes falling

I really didn’t want to, but I tried to hang onto a branch
as I thought there might be an enormous avalanche

I reached my arms out wide
to hang onto it with pride

Missing branches as I got closer to the ground
and thinking it might hit me with a pound

This was getting bad
If I was safe I would be glad

But when I hit the ground I feel a soft pillow
and looked next to me to see my bedroom window.
