Excellence Award in the 'National Treasures 2022' competition
Darkness, loneliness, alone.
Listening to the secrets whispering and muttering
The words creeping and crawling
Until that next morning.
Everything I see from left to right.
Has a scary story behind a bright light.
Now in my head.
There isn't room for a soul.
Everything seems misplaced and jumbled.
Wondering how I can get out of this mysterious puzzle.
The thoughts make me depressed in many ways.
But thinking maybe this could be a help in some ways.
I see mysterious things that lie
But suddenly realise this is a prize
All the thoughts drawn in my head
Are gifts that need to be said.
