The Attack

“Hurry!” Jason yelled as he rushed us out of the palace. The columns collapsed
as we ran outside, dust filled the air. The sound of gunshots and bombs
dropping could be heard in the distance. “But we can’t just leave them here,
we have to help!” I protested. “What do you expect us to do, Alex?” Leo asked,
“Exactly, we can’t do anything”. “Hey, leave her alone, she just wants to help
her parents” Annabeth defended. “I agree with Alex, we should do
something,” Percy, my twin brother joined in. “Guys, I love a good fight as
much as the next person but seriously stop,” Clarisse stated leaving us all
surprised. “Guys, there,” Leo said, pointing to group of horses. We all climbed
onto one and set off. I should probably tell you, I’m a princess and Percy’s a
prince, the rest of them are friends. An old enemy is out for revenge and our
home is under attack, our parents are captured and he has taken over the
throne.
After 30 minutes of riding, we were deep into the forest, we were all following
Percy somewhere. We stopped in front of a huge treehouse, it painted blue
and some seaweed were hung on the sides “How come I’ve never been here
before, bro I thought we were besties,” Jason cried. “This is like a safe house so
I don’t use it often,” Percy explained. Then we all climbed inside and got to
work. “Ok so we need a plan,” Annabeth stated while writing something on a
paper. We all sat there in silence, trying to think of a plan. “I got it!” Annabeth
happily shouted and started explaining the plan. We all nodded as soon as she
finished.
Suddenly an arrow hit the wall, missing my head by an inch. “Guys, it’s a
bounty hunter,” Clarisse whispered. “We’re doomed,” Leo said, panicking.
“You guys climb down while I distract him,” I blurted out immediately. Before
anyone could protest another arrow was shot and I yelled, “Is that all you got, I
could aim better than that!” The others quickly climbed down the tree and
hopped onto their horses. The hunter was too focused on me to notice, it kept
shooting arrows as I shot insults at him. Then I jumped onto my horse and we
galloped away.
We soon lost the hunter and put the plan into action. We all sneaked into the
palace after Percy and I knocked down the guards. We grabbed weapons from
the knocked down guards as we approached the throne room, there he was
sitting, Luke. My blood boiled at the sight as we revised the plan. “So, how’s
the royal life?” Jason asked, walking out of is hiding spot. “What do you want?”
he asked while standing up. “Just checking the place out, “Jason answered.
Then Clarisse looked at me, signaling me to attack. While Jason talked, I ran
from my hiding spot and got ready to stab him with a sword. Too late, Luke got
up and deflected the hit. We began sword fighting and the others joined in.
After a few minutes, Luke was on the ground unconscious and my right arm
was bleeding. We had did it, Percy and I then ran down to the cells and freed
our parents
