Zeal

I want to stretch my wings out wide,
But with my cage, they will collide,
Restrictions have taken from me,
My most important memories.
I want to soar high in the air,
But my captors denied what was fair,
Freedom is all I dream about,
My heart, longing to clear the drought.
I want to reach up to the sky,
And ‘till I do I’ll always try,
But my resources are way too few,
Yet there is so much I must do.
I want to fly to boundless heights,
And break the limits with all my might.
My dreams and passions none can seal,
Any challenges I’ll overcome with zeal.
