Let me follow your tide
down by the seaside where pebbles grow rough
and a cool blue sky lays in wake
Let me dance in your meadow
where bindies prick my feet
Rough as the earth
stolen from years of sleep
to walk the great abyss
Hold me in your arms
Spin me around a crowded room filled with faceless folk
Coats with no flesh
Feet with no soles
Ring me dry with tears of sweat
I’ll lap them up, renewed again
The truth of your love is that it is warm
but I have only just began cooking in your furnace
