A seed cannot sprout when not open;
Blues plants doubt when not with me.
My soul stays silent; there's no hope in
Blue, now the enemy of the free.
A root cannot grow when held in place;
Greens sprout love and spread to others.
My leaves reject any unfamiliar face;
Green is now my envy of lovers.
A sapling cannot stand when unsupported;
Yellows shine brightly, far, far away.
My trust has been rejected; kindness distorted;
Yellow is now my ecstasy led astray.
But the roots stay strong, and the tree stands tall;
Greens stretch and spread their vibrant hues.
My heart opens again, branches reaching all;
Forever sprouting, growing, standing, with you.
