The incessant ticking
of the pocket watch, the wristwatch,
the analogue clock, the digital clock
and the deadpan pendulum of the grandfather clock,
chase after me
in dreams, in the subconscious,
in ignorant, blissful reveries
where time is supposed to be shattered in frozen fractals.
Each second Time ticks,
the time-stone tilts, teeters,
creaks, tips, on the precipice
of falling head over heels on top of me, a loving puppy.
Time adores everyone
to the point of oblivion, to heartache,
to undeniably, unwavering loyalty
that no one can ever deny, even if it will always kill them.
