My sub-conscious trapped me from making a single mark in my new book
My old book had been the trusted treasure trove of all my musings
Even a minor ink splotch seemed like the end of the world
In my old book, each page was as bright and colorful as the next
But the new one was a black hole of misery
Despite youthful gumption forcing me to hold on, the change had to be made
For high school was an addition to the collection
With bigger and better adventures awaiting
The memories and fun of primary will forever be engraved deep in my heart
And I am ready and confident to make a mark in the new book
