Tempest

There, on the horizon, approaching faster more
The storm is coming to wage its war.
It seems to go slowly at first, then in the blink of an eye,
Its black form covers the entire sky.

The dark clouds come rolling in,
Thunder singing its deadly hymn.
The rumbling clouds set the beat
To which rain sets down its pattering feet.

Wind howls in the unrelenting breeze,
Furiously whipping through the trees.
It sends a barrage of ice and hail
Ripping through the foggy veil.

The raging tempest need not speak;
Although however devastating is the havoc that it wreaks
The dark clouds will eventually fade away,
Parting to reveal the light of a brand new day.
