Summer's Day

The waves splashed against my leg,
Like the crack, of a fresh egg,
The soft sand sinked in my toes,
Like a spider, crawling very slow.

The sun smiled down at me,
Tanning my pale skin,
I looked down, at the sea,
Seeing my evil twin.

Finally, I looked ahead,
The tide was chasing,
Me along the shore.
I ran until I couldn’t anymore,
And floated on the tranquil.
