Summer

I love summer!
The school year ends
The days stretch on
Full of happiness and love
Family, friends, Christmas and fun.
Eating ice-cream in the sun
By the pool with splashing fun.
The cricket’s song is in the air
The sun beats down on my skin.
Adventurous times on holiday
Beach, mountains, bush where will we go?
The best time of year
The old year is over
A new year begins.
I love summer.
