There's a shift in my body
Like I've just crossed the border
From the warmth of grass and sun
To the cold grasp of water
It's an expanse of blue shades
But with such a thick coat
Compare deep from the shallow
Both sand and waves are afloat
A brisk touch from a turtle
A stolen glance from a whale
But whilst I am still in awe
Something followed my trail
A colossal beast
or a mighty shark
The only way to find out
Is to dive deep into dark
