Social media
Social media, a virus that spreads
Through the screens of our phones and laptops and tablets
Infecting us with notifications and likes
Manipulating our thoughts and our lives
It seeps into every moment and space
Invading our privacy, our time, and our place
It fuels our vanity and our pride
Distorting our perception, our self-worth, and our mind
It isolates us from the world outside
Trapping us in a digital hide
We become slaves to its algorithms and trends
Losing sight of our values, our morals, and our friends
So let us be mindful of how we use
This tool that can bring both joy and abuse
For social media can be a blessing or a curse
It's up to us to choose which one we'll nurse
