A cascade of hues,
engulfed by the vermillion moon.
Dawning forthcoming misfortune,
yet I wandered on naïve.
To reminisce it,
a cloud of bats strewn overhead;
slipping into the dead of night,
away.
An eerie pathway of rancid weeds,
if only I’d had the impulse to heed.
The stroll persists, the passage tapers
as does my heart.
A crimson fragrance permeated the breeze,
vivid vermillion in his eyes.
How far I had stumbled,
to tragically meet my demise.
