It is dark as coal
A few little lights shining
Just like fireflies
I rest under a chook roost
Comb pale as cold snow
I am carried to the lawn
“Good chook,” lady says
With loving hands around me
My calm heart flutters
Now I will rest peacefully
Resting always now
Flowers are all around me
Dirt sprinkles with care
My tiny box keeps me snug
Now I am vanished
