Excellence Award in the 'Summertime Fun ONLINE' competition

I tremble as I stand before it,
Legs planted to the ground like the roots of a tree.
Eyes transfixed on the worst possible thing of all,
Sweat dripping off my back and face.
Mouth open, but no sound coming out.
Petrified because the beast that stands before me,
Fear consumes itself.
Darkness overlaps darkness,
The whole world collapses on itself.
Everything is destroyed in front of my eyes.
