I am scared I'll never find the love I write about.

For it whispers and caresses the way only the wind does
Too far gone to be noticed until late
For it's hidden in the dust on the spine of book
With lines of the face of my grandma's crumpled expression
Cursed with memories of the depression and pain
The hope and warmth
The laughs and love
That came with the ups and downs
The smiles and frowns
That accompany which I am too afraid to face
For what happens if that love is replaced
By hatred or anguish or grief or fear
I cannot stay here
In this place.

For it is why:
I am scared I'll never find the love I write about.
