Dealing with the pain inside

The days are warm and nights cold
My bones are stiff as if I were old
The day is warmth with what radiates from you
What am I supposed to do?
To ignore this feeling inside
And keep it and try to hide?
Or to come into the open once more
What am I doing this for?
Why am I putting up with such angst
A day is like a beast gnawing inside with fangs
The pain is unbearable some days
I deal with it in one way
That is to write these poems when the hurt is too tough
Just when I’ve had enough
I write a poem and am satiated
Like the calm you emit that alleviates
