War-Oh-Wàr
It’s the politicians and parliament that start these deadly wars,
But the people are the ones getting the short straw.
The people would protest and protest , asking why are we here,
Yet they say, “The war is nearly over, have no fear.”
They would cover up the truth and make new lies,
They would fight and fight, breaking friendship ties.
They would cover up the truth wherever possible,
Yet, today we ask, “How could this be plausible?”
We build missiles and guns to make ourselves powerful,
Yet we’re on the losing end of the war’o’war pull.
If we’ve sunk one and they’ve sunk ten,
They would then say, “That’s the luck of the lion’s den.”
Yet we learn from our mistakes and then forget,
And we ask, “God, why aren’t your promises kept.”
