Dad's red beard

Dad grew a beard,
Mum and I wanted it cleared.
It was red and bright,
But we thought it was ugly in sight.
He never washed,
Because with his beard he thought he was too posh.
His beard sort of looked like Uncle Doug’s,
Except Dad’s was red with curls and bugs.
Mum and I had had enough,
Dad’s beard was getting rough.
So Mum and I we thought up a plan,
To get that red beard off my old man.
This plan happened at night,
Where all there was dark, no light.
Snip, Snip, Snip,
Clip, Clip, Clip.
Dad’s red beard was off in no time,
When Dad woke up he said “What a crime!”
Then he cried and cried,
But Mum and I, we didn’t care, we were too tired.
So that’s the end of Dad’s red beard,
(Mum and I finally got it cleared).
