A cool summer day

On a cool summer day,
Wind blows gently in my face.
The warm sun beats down on me,
All the time,any place.
I hear the children playing,
As they dive in the pool.
These days are so perfect,
When the summer is cool.
As I leave from camp,
With all my bug bites.
I just ignore them.
And think of good delights.
I thirst more lemonade,
For it is so sweet.
And all the cool mud,
Squishing under my feet.
But yet school is almost here,
And I am quite scared,
Of all the homework,
That's being prepared.
I go to school,
In early fall.
And I pray for the day,
When summer will call.
