Where there is no light, darkness shall fall.
Darkness that incites fear in us all.
‘Tis darkness that hides the night from our eyes.
That hides all the secrets, the tricks and the lies.
As I look into darkness, I wonder what’s there.
Some menacing creature, to bring on a scare?
The unknown is fear and fear is the unknown.
To be without help or to be all alone.
Darkness is almighty, it can make strong men shake.
Be it in thick old forests or black murky lakes.
From darkness we rose and into darkness we’ll go.
It’s how all was crafted, that’s how it is so.
It hides the future and the past as well.
The times when, facing darkness, mighty empires fell.
The darkness beyond forces me to turn away,
And move closer to light to wait for the day.
