Fickle fable and fickle fen,
Surely there be a land of glen,
Many pixies to romp and more to play,
Much sweetness in the light of day,
Joy at night and cheer at noon
Joviality comes to many soon
Tears flows from laughing men
And also from children in thousands of ten
All whom stand in Joy’s way
Shall feel their funny-bone, come what may
Always good and always right
‘Tis the better joke in whatever light
There are men who clash and men who fray,
But most will laugh another day.
So declared, there is nothing there,
Which gives greater feeling than jovial cheer.
