I’m growing tired of this ongoing battle,
A fight over what?
Time has taken that answer from me.
I have forgotten, just as I have forgotten who I am fighting for.
I wish I could go back home.
To my loved ones; my family and my friends,
But there is no end to this battle,
And even when it’s over, there is no winner.
We’re fighting a losing battle,
We gain nothing and yet lose so much,
What is the point?
I wish I could say,
But again, I have forgotten the answer.
I want to go home,
Not tomorrow, not the next day, not in a year,
I want to go home today!
