Old age

The lonely old man
Shuffled silently on the sand
As the glistening waves
Rolled steadily to the shore.

His shallow footsteps
Left his mark
As he limped along
Showing his unsteadiness.

Age slowing him down
As he gazes admiringly
At the wondrous beach
In the early morning.

He stood carefully
When he bends to admire
The beauty of the shells
Scattering the sand.
