At first you were just 'the friends grandad',
then i looked to you as my own.
If you were ever asked of anything,
you never complained or groaned.
You always made me smile,
through the good times and the bad.
Everytime i looked you were happy,
Ive never seen you mad.
The day you left I was confused,
and have been ever since.
Why God took you away from me,
Why you left for eternal rest.
Now it is all clear to me,
now im no longer confused.
You lived your life to the fullest,
now your time has all been used.
Your with your wife in heaven,
your no longer in any pain.
But as you said the last time we spoke,
We'll see eachother soon again.
