It was seven in the morning dark pitch black
I heard a voice, it’s dad he’s back
Mumma told me he would never return
My heart would stop and start to burn
I looked around as I was sitting on my bed
Listening to those precious words he began and said
“Come here my child let’s run away,
Don’t worry about everyone else we’ll come back someday”
I got off my bed and stood on the ground
My body was shaking while I followed the sound
Out the door and past the car
Dad was not here not even far
Tears dropped down my face and I started to sweat
“Oh someone help me” I started to pray
Why could this happen on such a cold winters day ?
