Slurping down
A cold shave ice,
With creamy ice cream
Hidden,
After soaking in the sun
At Haleiwa Beach.
The small shop,
Full of tank tops for sale,
And the assortment of flavors,
Scribbled on a hanging
Piece of wood.
Chattering people,
Wearing salty, soaked swim suits
Waiting
To possess a cone
Filled with treasured delight.
