Sunset glimmers in the sky,
As lingering rays begin to die.
Soft warm wind does sweep the sand,
As tired seagulls wing in to land.
Over the ocean blue.
Clouds tipped with a golden light,
Begin to fade as dusk becomes night.
Waves roll gently in the calm,
Of which many poets have sung their psalm.
Beside the ocean blue.
Shells pattern the darkening shore,
As ever they've lain for eons before.
The stars rise, still the same,
Over the place of serenity, and yet of fame,
The quiet ocean blue...
MY ocean blue.
