The birds are singing,
Singing for me.
Songs of mourning
For a loved one lost

The sun is shining,
Shining for me.
A bright ray of hope
Within the overpowering dark.

The clouds are parting,
Though not for me.
They come to guide you
Through a peaceful ascent.

I am crying,
Crying for us both.
Awaiting the time
When we meet again.
