3rd in the 'Believe It Or Not 2001' competition

I have to write a poem,
But I don’t know how.
What should it be about?
I have to do it now!

Should it be happy?
Or sad?
Or even good?
Or just plain bad?

I can’t think of anything,
My page is blank.
Jacqui’s doing pirates,
Who are walking the plank.

Everyone has good ideas,
Except for me.
And when I think of something,
It’ll be time for tea.

Then I’ll have detention,
I know I will,
Mrs. Smith will give me more time,
But I won’t have anything, still!

Oh, my goodness!
Look what I’ve done!
I’ve wrote a poem,
All in one!

I can’t believe it!
All along.
I’ve written a poem,
I must’ve been wrong!
