Peace Forever

3rd in the 'Believe It Or Not 2001' competition

Why must we fight,
‘till hard war bites,
And death roams the land,
Across burning sands?
Let us share peace,
On a permanent lease.

May the wealthy help the poor souls,
May the mines become moleholes.
May the power of art,
Fill every heart.
So let us banish war,
With peace’s jaw.
May peace rule,
With its mighty tool.

Earth life –
The world – what is it?
A rock or a living bit?
It might get hit,
Or in space it shall sit.

It dances through space,
Its dance is ace,
At a slow pace.

Sometimes as hot as a spa,
Or as cold as ice.
Dancing forever,
Through the land.
