3rd in the 'Believe It Or Not 2001' competition
The first time I met you,
I thought you were unique.
The way you twisted that leather
So very neat and quick.
I loved the way you told me
That my hands were made for this,
And that I could make millions
Out of plaiting leather whips.
Not only were you good with leather,
But telling stories too.
I swear I could listen for hours about
The things you used to do.
I’d like to use this time to thank you
For all you’ve done for me,
And one day I hope to repay this gratitude,
That you’ve shown towards me.
